When you are trying to find a band for your wedding, of course, the first thing you want to make sure is that you really want to dance to their music. Once you have found the band that you think is right, from that perspective you want to take a look at the band leader and figure out whether or not that is the right person to make the announcements.

Band leader functions as MC during the wedding. They are the ones who are going to invite you up to the dance floor for your first dance and for your dance with your parents, and a lot of other activities that evening.

Another issue that is really important, but a little bit trickier, is that you need to find out if the band leader is a team player. The band leader will work very closely with the banquet captain and that is how you get an event with great timing. It's a little bit hard to find out about that. One of the tricks I like to do is check references not from just best clients but also from venues.
