Cut for "Modern Records" under the nickname Arkansas Johnny Todd which the execs thought up for him, since he wouldn't give his real name - no known photographs of him are around

his other recordings were made in the 30s, two were issued - his sounds' reminiscent of King Solomon Hill [Joe Holmes]
but his singing and playing's much less brash and intensive

he also accompanies another great unknown, Leroy Simpson, for his "Modern" recordings during the same sessions
