Middlesbrough celebrated their first birthday in style, hosting reigning national champions Ipswich Wolves a week before they kicked off the first ever FA Futsal League game. This was the largest attendance of around 400, with all money raised going to the Tommy Leech fund. Full time score was 7-2.
