VQS Goldfish Surf Series Cayucos Pier, CA - 2/7/09

The third stop of the Goldfish Surf Series was scheduled for 24th St in Cayucos, but with torrential rains and a huge swell forecasted we weren't sure what to expect. First light Saturday morning brought massive lines of waves stacking up on the horizon and a washed out 24th St beach. With a quick change in the plans we ventured up the coast and set up at Cayucos pier were we found manageable 4-5ft surf. As the competitors filled the tents and spectators began to line the pier, we knew we were in for a day of great surfing.
