Shen Yun Performing Arts three companies are currently touring North America, with shows simalteousnly in Canada and the U.S. Our correspondent caught up with theater-goers after the show in New York. Here's what they had to say about Shen Yun.

The world's premier Chinese classical dance company, Shen Yun Performing Arts, is in the middle of a 10-show run at New York's renowned Lincoln Center.

[Sheila Ahrensdorf, Audience Member]:
"This is something everybody should see. Really and truly. I think it's perfect."

[Ana Maria Estrada, Stage Performer]:
"Really, really incredible. Really a masterpiece. I really enjoyed every minute of it."

[Steve Barrison, Attorney]:
"You can't beat the costumes. Colorful. Beautiful."

[Marta Maria, Artist]:
"I can't wait for next year."

[Xin Haonian, Historian]:
"As an overseas Chinese, to see a performance like this at New Years is very rare. I'm also very happy."

[Roy Yuan-Rong Leu, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office]:
"Shen Yun Performing Arts' mission is to promote and carry through traditional Chinese culture and arts. Just on this point, its contribution, and successfully allowing so many outstanding Chinese artists to be staged in front of Western society, even the world. This is very admirable and something very moving."

Some parts of the show have moved audience members to tears.

"Well the one that nearly made me cry, was the book banned in China."

Many audience members feel a sense of tranquility during the performance.
