Tourists Flock to Indian Kashmir to Enjoy the Snow

Hundreds of tourists are enjoying the snowfall in India's Kashmir region. Snow seems to be a major attraction for many in India to spend their holidays.

Hundreds of tourists and vacationers flocked the hill town of Patnitop in Indian Kashmir to enjoy the snowfall in the region.

Children were seen making snowballs and throwing them at their parents, family members and friends.

[Sumeet Sharma, Tourist from Punjab]:
"I am happy to be here. The weather is very good here, there is snow everywhere. We are enjoying our holidays thoroughly."

Many couples arrived at the town to enjoy their vacations. Others were seen riding on horses, ponies and sleighs.

The Jammu -Srinagar National Highway was closed for traffic for two days due to heavy snowfall in the Kashmir Valley a few days ago.
