Jason Ruiz apologized to Cleveland Police Officer Anthony Sauto in Cleveland Municipal Court for a incident in the Warehouse District last summer. Sauto was widely accused of mistreating Ruiz because he was black. Security tapes showed otherwise. The controversy sparked a confrontation between Cleveland Police Patrolman's Assn. President Steve Loomis and City Councilman Jeffery Johnson outside the courtroom.
