Cheryl Cole releases the video to her new single

Cheryl Cole shows us her vulnerable side in the new video for her latest single, The Flood.

Since Cheryl embarked on her solo career her music has been fast paced with tracks such as Fight For This Love and Promise This.

But Cheryl has opted for a moodier angle this time, and in the video we see her alone in a remote house overlooking a tempestuous sea.

The lyrics suggest that her boyfriend has drowned in a shipwreck and she has been left wondering if she could have saved him.

The single is due to be released on January 3 next year, but Cheryl's album, Messy Little Raindrops, is out now.
