It was Davidson's directorial debut.

It was entered into the 1990 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Short Film Palme d'Or.
It later went on to be selected as "Dramatic Achievement" in the Student Academy Awards competition on June 10, 1990, and won an Academy Award in 1991 for Best Short Subject.
