Set against the backdrop of the flourishing music scene in 1961 Greenwich Village, Llewyn Davis is a penniless folk singer and perennial couch surfer. As he tries to rescue his career to avoid joining the merchant navy, he embarks on a journey of self discovery, involuntarily leaving numerous people - including angry ex-girlfriends, family members and musician buddies - in his wake. The film won the Grand Prix award at Cannes Film Festival in 2013 and was nominated for two Oscars.
