The group from Oregon, Wisconsin, United States came together in 1995, as the One Lard Biskit Brass Band, before renaming themselves in 1998, the year the band released their first album, Word On The Street. Their unique sound, with a combination of jazz, hip-hop and punk, takes influence from the traditional New Orleans brass band and coined them the term Riot Jazz.
