Portland Mojo is a feature-length documentary detailing the history and grow of blues music in Portland, Oregon, USA from its inception and growth through the present day, with a close look at the influences and talented people unique to Portland that made this wonderful coincidence possible.
Portland is well known in the blues music world for having a unique combination of native talent, venues, and festivals, enough so that many blues artists from across the country have chosen to make the city their home - but Portland seems an unlikely location to foster such growth and attraction to this art form.
With the help of many of these artists and numerous other contributors rare recordings, posters, and photographs were unearthed, along with archival film and video footage of nearly forgotten performances. The result is this film: both a chronicle of the evolution of this art form in Portland and an homage to the numerous artists who fell in love with it.
