The Nipponzan Myohoji Temple in Worli

The Nipponzan Myohoji Temple in Worli was built in 1956. The wall paintings inside carry chapters from the birth to the time The Buddha attained Nirvana. The main statue in the temple was crafted in Kazakhstan. A huge drum in the right hand side is beaten whenever prayers take place. The temple is open to people from all faiths and communities. Bhikshu T Morita is the resident monk here.
