BLUE SCARS (1994) is a poem film made for the Southbank's International Poetry Festival. A collaboration between poet Matthew Sweeney, composer Roger Redgate, filmmaker Ian Cottage and students from Ashington High School. Shown as part of the B.F.I Poem Films tour. A manifesto on making poem films (written by Ian) caused heated debate when it was screened in Delhi, India.
