The Springboks headed to Brisbane for their 3rd game in the Tri-Nations, whilst the Aussies where more than ready for their 1st match. During the week the Aussies claimed that the Springboks are their biggest challenge in this competition despite the All Blacks dominating. Although the Aussies have a young inexperienced team they still have a huge home advantage with a massive crowd behind them, the pressure is definitely on the Springboks. A tip tackle from Jaque Fourie left him in the Sin Bin 4 minutes into the game, this pattern has seemed to repeat it self for the green and gold. The Wallabies stepped up the pace and took advantage of scoring opportunities. At halftime both sides have given away quite a few penalties and the kickers have gladly taken the points. The Springboks are struggling to cross the try line and the Aussies are making sure they stay in Bok territory. Drew Mitchell scored the 1st try of the game giving the Aussies a comfortable lead going into the 2nd half. Defense and the Breakdown area seems to be the biggest problem for the Springboks, although at some stages it looked good from the green and gold they still lacked pace. The Aussies were awake and noticed the weaknesses, they simply outplayed and outscored a struggling Springbok side. The Springboks head back home for a much needed break, whilst the All Blacks make their way to Melbourne for their 1st clash against the Aussies.
