The British actor, 24, is thought to be worth £11m after starring in the hugely successful Twilight franchise. The heartthrob came just ahead of his co-star Kristen Stewart, who was at 66.
Chat show queen Oprah Winfrey regained her showbiz crown, taking the number one spot in the Forbes rundown, after slipping to second place last year. Her media empire has netted her a fortune estimated at £208m.
Winfrey was followed by US superstar Beyonce in the list, while Avatar filmmaker James Cameron was at 3.
Besides R-Pattz, other British names who made the cut included music and TV mogul Simon Cowell. He jumped 14 places from last year to 11th place, following his final season on American Idol.
Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe was ranked 82.
