Nick Jonas prepares to make his West End debut

Nick Jonas is to make his West End debut in musical Les Miserable tonight (June 21).

The teen-star, who is one third of pop sensation the Jonas Brothers with siblings Joe and Kevin, will be playing the part of Marius for the next three weeks.

Speaking at a recent showbiz event in London, the 17-year-old said:

"It's a lot different. It's not just the stage elements but the style of singing. There's pop music and then there's theatrical style music and I'm just getting used to that mind set. And trying to re-learn how to sing like that has been interesting and a lot of fun as well."

When asked whether he thinks his fans may scream with excitement during the show, Nick said:

"I believe they'll be respectful and they'll know the code of conduct at the theatre. Even if they do scream, it will just add to the excitement of the night."

Whilst Nick is famed for his pop career, the teen-sensation previously starred in numerous Broadway shows including Beauty and the Beast, The Sound of Music and played Gavroche in Les Mis just before the show closed in New York in 2003.
