Andrew Cowles said he is thrilled that Stephen Gately's book, The Tree of Seasons, has been so well received since his death.
Andrew, who was Stephen's civil partner was speaking at the Butterfly Ball held by charity Caudwell Children, which the Boyzone singer was an ambassador of.
"It is great seeing it in real book shops. it is on best-seller lists too. He is now officially a UK best-selling author," said Andrew.
He also explained how the book was finalised following Stephen's tragic death last October:
"There was very little to be done. He had written on his laptop 180 A4 pages...he had already told me how it was going to finish, so I gave a few bulletin points to a ghost writer to help them finish it because I wasn't quite in the right state to be creative enough."
