Robotnik was so confused and out of touch with reality after escaping the fourth dimension that he somehow entered the presidential campaign, and was, amazingly, elected by a landslide. The citizens of Mobius' worst nightmare has come true: Dr. Robotnik has become President of the United States, and now has his finger on the red button.
