Noosa the most northerly of the sunshine coast, noted for its natural scenery : noosa national park, woods, protected main beach facing north, noosa river, lakes. Noosa is at the southern end of the cooloola coast too. The impressive point break around Noosa headland lured, in the 1960s, the surfers who started gathering at this quiet cove.
