Channing Tatum: I'll never film in Scotland again!

Think Scotland, think stunning landscapes, cold weather and Loch Ness. But when Channing Tatum pictures the region, it brings back some rather painful memories.

The star injured his nether regions while filming The Eagle of the Ninth there.

The actor had to wade through freezing water and the only way to keep warm was apparently to pour a mix of boiling water and river water down his wetsuit.

But a crew member forgot to dilute the water from the kettle. The result was one very scalded manhood. Channing says he will be taking more precautions to safeguard his privates in the future.

"I have not had it insured, what would that even look like? I would like to know what that insurance would be," said Channing.

But the Dear John star wanted to reassure us that he has made a full recovery.

"I'm back on top. I'm back in the game," he said

"It was pretty intense. The funniest part about it was as they were rushing me to hospital the song that was on the radio. Kings of Leon. (singing) ' your sex is on fire....!'"

Sadly that was not the only hardship he went through while making The Eagle of the Ninth.

"We're trudging down the river for half of it, in freezing water," said Channing.

He added: "Scotland is amazing. I will never shoot there again, but I will go back and visit as much as I can. The north of Scotland is some of the most beautiful country I've ever seen. But it's very, very harsh. I'll never do a period drama in the northern part of Scotland again."
