Grieving friends of a girl that died when her school bus crashed in a blizzard wore brightly-coloured clothes to celebrate her life at her funeral. Classmates wore the special hoodies in dedication to Natasha Paton as they gathered to say their final farewells. Her parents requested that mourners wore brightly-coloured clothing in celebration of their daughter's life. The 17-year-old died after a coach carrying 39 pupils and five members of staff from Lanark Grammar School lost control, collided with a bridge and plunged into a river during a snowstorm. Natasha, from Cleghorn, South Lanarkshire, was traveling with classmates to Alton Towers in Staffordshire when the accident happened on the A73 near Biggar. Mark Sherry, headmaster of Lanark Grammar, paid tribute to Natasha shortly after her death. He refused to answer questions on why the trip was allowed to go ahead in blizzard conditions.
