"Avatar" & "Hurt Locker" Top Oscar Nominations

The science-fiction sensation "Avatar" and the Iraq war thriller "The Hurt Locker" were in the lead with nine nominations each, including best picture and director for James Cameron and ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow.
