00:00Hey, this is Vilko Yak from Barefoot Bushcraft, and today I want to introduce the Workos T1
00:06Flashlight Torch. This is a really cool product. Now, I've reviewed a bunch of other little
00:11torches. This one is spectacular. So it claims to be 5,500 lumens with a 415 meter beam distance
00:18at maximum. That's a lot. That's almost half a kilometer, man. That's a lot. On the lowest,
00:25lowest setting, it claims to get 339 hours of light, and of course, IPX8 water resistance. So
00:33this is it here. Of course, it comes in the fancy little box. I don't like unboxing videos, so I've
00:39been playing with this for a little while now. It doesn't come out that way. It comes out of the
00:44box
00:44this way, like this, and then of course, it has the usual things, USB cable, all that sort of stuff,
00:51but it's just a box. You're going to throw that away. This is the torch itself. This is the cool
00:56part. So the neat thing, it has this. One of the things I really like is it's got the little
01:01LED on
01:02the top. So if you have, you can put it in a, you know, a pocket and hold it on
01:08with this, and you
01:09can turn that on, and it has a bunch of different features. We'll get into that when it is dark
01:14out.
01:15The other thing, a nice, some kind of metal case, possibly aluminum. What I like is it has these little
01:20deep holes in it. You can see those. So basically what that means is it's really good grip. So you've
01:26got the metal circle, and then inside you've got the plastic torch. The challenge I would see with
01:32this, and it's, I suppose, not really a criticism, just a comment, is there's some space in here. So if
01:39I drop this or stomp on this in the mud, you're going to get mud trapped in there, and I
01:43don't know
01:44how you would get that out, other than try to completely disassemble the torch. It's got different
01:50features on the back here. So this is your standard light, like that, right? And it's, don't kid
01:56yourself, this thing is bright. And then this little guy there, that goes for this one, right? So that's
02:03fantastic. So it's got the button on the back. It's got, in the old days, they used to call that
02:08a DNA collector on the front, the little ridges. It stands up this way. It will not, however,
02:15stand up on the back, because it's got the button, which may or may not be a problem for you.
02:20One thing I would like to show you about the T1 is that it doesn't, even though it has this,
02:25it does not disassemble at the back at all. All this does is change your modes from lock
02:31to this mode here is the little LED at the front. And then there's, you know, this at the back
02:39for
02:39like super, super brightness, which blows up the camera white balance. The batteries inside,
02:44you can open it this way. Now this requires their own battery. So you can't just go to
02:49your local hardware store and buy a battery or Amazon, perhaps, I guess. That's the battery that
02:55it takes. And it goes in there. Again, you can see the whole lower section of the torch,
02:59not really able to disassemble that if you take that with mud. But yeah, so that guy goes in there
03:06like this. There's that. And it just screws together. It does have a little rubber seal on
03:12there. Now, I mean, I wouldn't take this thing scuba diving, but it is designed so that you can
03:16use it in the rain. But it's great. So most important thing with a flashlight like this,
03:23couple features is it has an internal battery, like most modern day torches do.
03:28USB-C charging port right there with a little rubber tab that ensures that it's going to be
03:33fairly water resistant. Belt clip or pocket clip, right? Let's go outside and take it out in
03:40darkness and see how incredibly bright this is. Now, compared to some of the other torches on the
03:46market, like the Tungan, which are good torches. Don't get me wrong. I really like them. This thing
03:50is beefy. Like I like that, that beefy feel to it. You feel like you've got this in your hand
03:56and it has a nice satin finish on it. So there we go. The Workos T1. Let's take it out
04:03in the
04:04darkness and I can show you what this thing can actually do. All right. So here we are out in
04:08the darkness. And of course, the flashlight is only as good as it brightens things up.
04:12Check this. Man, that actually hurts my eyes. It is so bright. So that's the brightest setting on it.
04:21And to operate that, I just push the back and it's like a car headlight. It's just incredible.
04:28Like we're coming up to this rock here.
04:32And it's so bright. It blows the white balance out on the phone. That's amazing. Let's look back
04:38on the trails. Like it goes forever. Spectacular when the thing is on. My goodness. And then of
04:44course, it has another setting. It has a medium setting, which doesn't blow the white balance out
04:50too much. It's not too bad. Yeah, I'm liking that. I could say that that is very comfortable and usable
04:56for several, you know, as long as the battery lasts out in the woods. The system doesn't get too hot
05:02either at this setting. And then there's again the turbo, which is super, super bright. Bright like
05:09car headlights. Like it's incredible. You know, you need a little tiny flashlight. This is the one
05:15to get. And then one of the neat things it has is it has a little side things on it.
05:21So it has
05:23different colors. Now, I would very much caution anybody to use the blue and the red blinking in
05:30an environment where there's people because in many jurisdictions, this would be considered a police
05:36light. And you don't want to put yourself in a spot where they could say you are, you know,
05:43impersonating police. So please be super careful with that. So let's go on to the next setting.
05:47I just read, you know, the settings are kind of hard to change. There's just blue.
05:55There's and I think it goes green as well. But I do find I will admit one of the challenges
06:00with these
06:00lights is all the features are hidden, right? So you don't know what it does.
06:05Other than just keep like keep pushing the button, holding the button and trying to just decide what
06:11you can make it do. Right. So that all of these these flashlights that I find that come from China
06:17have this and I guess it's not a complaint. Well, there's green. There's green. And then it's
06:22somehow changing colors to like some kind of weird flashiness. I do have to say for, you know,
06:30preserving your night vision or whatever. I do like the red. The red's kind of cool.
06:36If you spent any time in, you know, military search and rescue, something like that,
06:40you use the red a lot. And it's really nice. And it shows all the definition of the things that
06:45you,
06:46you know, you're walking into walking through. But it doesn't hurt your night vision. And I really
06:52kind of like that feature. But that's only available on this light in the 90 degree.
06:56But that's OK. I hold it like that. And away we go. That definitely is my favorite feature of this
07:03is a little 90 degree. And then I can change colors. So we'll go back to regular flashlight.
07:08There we go. Most importantly, it's spectacular. I'm really happy with this. I don't think you could
07:16really ask for anything else. It's incredibly bright. It's very lightweight, has a nice onboard
07:22charging battery with it. Other than, you know, fooling around with the top setting right there
07:28that you can kind of see. So other than fooling around with that right there to try to get the
07:34settings just right. It's a really great torch. This is Vilko Yak from Barefoot Bushcraft. Thank
07:40you for watching the video on the Workos T1. And that's the little brand of this flashlight.
07:44You won't be sorry with it. It's a spectacular light. Like I said, it's really,
07:50really something else. It is so small and so tiny, yet it's as bright as a car headlight.
07:58Thank you so much for taking the time to watch this video. Please consider subscribing.
