00:07We're going live back to Grenada for statements of the recently reelected Prime Minister Deacon
00:13Mitchell. Let's listen.
00:43Which constituency are we in here?
00:52Let me bring the representative for you.
00:55We are no candidate any more.
00:57This is the member of parliament.
01:04So let me ask you something.
01:08When they give the lady who's shopping online in parliament the potato, you think she's going to potato now?
01:15When I told you she will take the potato now?
01:18You know why?
01:19Things are about to get real hard for.
01:21Real sticky for.
01:23Because she just got fired.
01:26Bye bye.
01:26Thank you MP.
01:28We love you.
01:29DJ, give me some music.
01:38Hey!
01:42What a partner Pedro.
01:44What a partner Pedro.
01:48Pedro, if you want to retire, you cannot retire a long time ago?
01:56You come, you mama got yourself, you take part in the debate, you're from, you name a party after yourself,
02:03you're only moving, moving, moving.
02:05But you know what?
02:07Sister Claudette.
02:12Sister Claudette, stop all movement.
02:15DJ, drop me, drop me, drop me.
02:18Sister Claudette, stop all movement.
02:21You're moving no way after today.
02:24So, brother Peter, bye bye.
02:38Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
02:40They say I didn't go to school.
02:43They say I'm stupid.
02:45They say I'm done.
02:49So, if I done, I got bright women for them.
02:54And she bright with.
02:55And she could speak with.
02:59So, I could stay done because of a bright sister by me.
03:03So, we retire the doctor before she start.
03:10In fact, somebody tell me, thank you for keeping her in St. George's University, not in St. Mark.
03:17So, go back to the university.
03:19And let a real bright woman work for the people at St. Mark.
03:24So, Sister Degans, thank you very much.
03:39We didn't want a comedian.
03:42We didn't want a comedian.
03:44So, what we did?
03:45We called her brother.
03:46What we did?
03:48We called her brother.
03:51And he tell you.
03:53When the comedian joke airs funny, that means he fails the test.
03:57And he gets licks by the principal.
04:00Close.
04:01Thank you for the handle.
04:18Hold on.
04:19DJ, walk with me.
04:21Three of our colleagues are missing.
04:23So, we still have to pay honor to them.
04:25Let's start with Petey Mark and the Gang Karakoo.
04:30Somebody say, boots on the ground.
04:33Somebody say, boots on the ground.
04:37First I have boots on the ground.
04:38My boots coming off on them.
04:42They're tying the boots tight.
04:47So, actions speak louder than words.
04:50And so, the people at Petey Mark and Karakoo understand that they have a real leader.
04:56Not a man who get blows down in the south from brother Andy.
05:00You would have taught you.
05:01You would have learned the lesson then.
05:04He must be a crybaby because he likes licks.
05:07So, blows by brother Andy down in the south.
05:09He go all the way up in the north.
05:11Blows by brother Tevin.
05:12So, I think the message is clear.
05:16Brother Cox, bye-bye.
05:25We're going on the west coast.
05:27We had to make up Sister Kirin.
05:29She's not here with us.
05:31But there's some people, they just don't know when to retire.
05:39I mean, the people hire you.
05:41They fire you.
05:43Go home and retire.
05:47So, I guess they want you to fire them again.
05:52But you don't have to fire them.
05:54All we have to do is to rehire Sister Kirin James to represent the beautiful people of St. John.
05:58So, St. John, if you're in the house, you made the right choice with the right woman who truly reflects
06:05you, the people of St. John.
06:07So, thank you.
06:08Hopefully, finally, this time, the brother will pack it in and retire.
06:15So, who missing?
06:17St. Patrick West, you in the house?
06:19St. Patrick West, you in the house?
06:22Well, give people a St. Patrick West.
06:23Give Shantimela a little music, no man.
06:26Shantimela!
06:27Shantimela!
06:35You know, at the debate, at the debate, at the debate, I actually heard somebody say that the other side,
06:50you know, I don't like to call the name,
06:52that the other side, that was the best team they ever assembled in the history at the other side.
07:00Well, I mean, if I was the doctor, I mean, I ain't dead yet, but I would be rolling, I'd
07:07be rolling in my grave, I'd be saying, don't go there.
07:12Because if that's the best team they ever assembled, I don't even know the name of the gentleman in St.
07:19Patrick West.
07:22Unremarkable.
07:23You can't even remember them.
07:25So, St. Patrick West, Brother Andal, St. Patrick, you doubled up.
07:30Andal 1, Andal 2, St. Patrick's East, St. Patrick's West, thank you very much for putting in the Andals.
07:36So, remember, whenever you're in trouble, call, Brother Andal, by two, Carl and Joseph.
07:44They bring the coffin.
07:46They bring the coffin.
07:49Goliath in the coffin.
07:52Goliath in the coffin.
07:55That's a big coffin.
07:57You have to go light inside it.
08:01Brother David, you're officiating over the funeral.
08:04Brother David, you'll say some prayers over the funeral.
08:07Sprinkle the coffin with some holy water.
08:10And make sure it stays underground.
08:13Six feet.
08:16You have the spade?
08:17You have the fork?
08:19You have the fork?
08:23All right, DG, give me a little music.
08:40One drop.
08:46Of course, I have to say thank you.
08:51Thank you to God.
08:52Thank you to all of our families, all of our campaign teams, all of the hundreds and hundreds
09:00of electoral workers who work today to support our campaign, the electoral workers who work
09:07for the other side to support their campaign, the staff at the election office from the supervisor
09:13of elections, the commission of police, the Royal Grenada Police Force, the men and women
09:20in law enforcement who work to ensure that we had a peaceful, safe election.
09:27But most importantly, to you, the people of Grenada, for once again reposing your trust in the National Democratic Congress
09:38and the team of men and women that you have voted back into parliament.
09:45This is your victory.
09:47This is your victory.
09:48This is your making of history.
09:49This is your belief in yourself.
09:53Because as Grenadians, we know what we want.
09:56We know what we deserve.
09:58And we know where we should be going and what type of future we want to create for ourselves.
10:06So when we framed the campaign, you, me, us, it is because we know that without us, there is no
10:16Grenada.
10:17Grenada is about its people, not its things.
10:20And our job is to educate, uplift, nurture, support, and protect our people at all costs.
10:29And I can assure you, as the political leader of the National Democratic Congress,
10:34that you have our commitment to make sure that over the next five years,
10:40we continue to put you, the people of PT Matlick, Karikou, and Grenada first.
10:48Because we are not about no gimmicks.
10:51We are not pretending.
10:54We are authentic.
10:56We are real.
10:59When Brother Toe sings to you because he likes to sing karaoke,
11:03he ain't hiding who he is.
11:06And we love you.
11:08So it's important for us to reflect and realize
11:12that this election outcome is your choice
11:16and it reflects your belief in yourself as a Grenadian.
11:20When I said at our independence celebration
11:23that there is greatness in every Grenadian,
11:26this is not just a phrase.
11:31It is not just a phrase.
11:33It is a recognition that each and every one of us,
11:35each and every one of us are capable of greatness in our own way.
11:40And if we get up with purpose
11:42and with meaning to our lives
11:44and we put our shoulders to the wheel,
11:46then individually and collectively
11:49we will make Grenada a greater nation to live in.
11:55And so we have to make sure
11:56the same way the four and a half years flew by,
11:59it is the same way the next five years is going to fly by.
12:01And the next ten years is going to fly by.
12:04And therefore it means we have to get to work immediately.
12:07There is no time to waste.
12:09Time belongs to God.
12:10And we do not have time.
12:11And therefore I can assure you
12:13that the men and women standing behind me
12:15and that Brother Tevin, Brother Handel, Brother James,
12:20and Sister James,
12:21and the entire executive
12:23of the National Democratic Congress
12:26will put our shoulders to the wheel
12:28and work even harder
12:31on behalf of you,
12:32the citizens of Grenada,
12:34Karakou,
12:35and PT Martinik.
12:36So as I said,
12:38the serious speech will come in the days to come.
12:40This is a night of celebration.
12:42So DJ,
12:43I ain't fine you play any of them soccer music.

13:07You realize 14 of them in the house are sick?
13:1114 of them in the house are sick.
13:1314 of them catch Yellow Fever.
13:16And the other one have a PhD,
13:17so he's not a real doctor.
13:20So nurse,
13:22we gotta call nurse for him.
13:26Because I ain't thinking he'll last the five years.
13:29And by the next five years,
13:31all 15 of them will have Yellow Fever.
13:34So DJ,
13:35let me play another song now, man.

16:30was put on them on him and his team the trust that the grenadian people are putting on the national

16:43spoke about the importance of the officials that were elected to now begin to work that being elected was
16:51not the the end of the of the path but it was barely the beginning as now they had to
16:57work and respond in kind the trust that the people of granada
17:04put on these officials that were elected, as we were saying,
17:09the National Democratic Congress won 14 of the 15 parliamentary seats
17:13in these Thursday's general elections in Granada.
17:17This is a moment of celebration, as we have seen in the images,

17:40and to continue working for the people of Granada to ensure they have an important recovery of their well-being.
17:52This, as we were saying, this victory will give Nicol Mitchell a new five-year term
17:57to pursue the priorities that his administration has set out to fulfil in his time in office,
18:06including the economic development, the infrastructure,
18:09the development of the infrastructure of the nation, healthcare, education, employment,
