00:00Because everyone wants to set their own narrative in accordance to their ideological agenda.
00:07Because I was involved in so many different campaigns across the country.
00:12I believe 17 different states, 48 different candidates this midterm cycle.
00:17So it was virtually impossible for me to pick one major gathering.
00:22And also, there were logistical difficulties for broadcasting efficiently from one of these events.
00:30So I chose to stay at home base here in Los Angeles and spent the night doing analysis.
00:36Because that is my primary focus.
00:39I'm not a campaign surrogate.
00:41I'm not a campaign consultant.
00:42I'm a political commentator.
00:44I'm an advocate.
00:47And I'm not as affiliated with these campaigns as the media presents it anyway.
00:54Many people don't understand what that looks like.
00:56And it's also somewhat inaccessible for people over a certain age range.
00:59You know, if you're over the age of 45.
01:01They definitely did not ask me to be the prominent face of the Democratic Party.
01:05As a matter of fact, they've made it very clear that they would love for me to go away.
01:10And that's at the heart of this, you know, this manufactured outrage campaign that many prominent Democrats also leaned into
01:20without care or consideration for what kind of negative consequences it might have for some of these candidates who I
01:27was associated with at times or affiliated with.
01:31Democrats certainly engaged in that manufactured hysteria themselves as well.
01:39So, no, I don't think they want me to be the face of the party at all.
01:43And that's certainly not something that I want either.
01:53I'm simply a platform, a megaphone for the frustrations that many Americans are feeling.
02:00I also happen to operate as a launching pad for many left insurgent candidates where they can come on the
02:07broadcast and meet a lot of excited fans, especially those under the age of 45 that will not only participate
02:14in their civic duty and their civic engagement, but also go out and potentially become real advocates for these candidates.
02:22They can phone back, fundraise and also door knock for them as they have done so this past election cycle.
02:35And my goals for 2028 are very clear.
02:37I want to move American politics to the left.
02:41I want to make American politics and American democracy more representative of the needs of the masses because I feel
02:49like for far too long, parties, both of the parties have unfortunately placed corporate interests and corporate profits over the
02:57interests of the masses.
02:58And there's a lot of discontent out there.
03:00I want to combat that apathy and make sure that we have real democracy, real representational politics.
03:09And have you ever regretted saying anything online or maybe recently?
03:14Would you like to share any anecdotes?
03:15So, of course, there are moments.
03:17There's momentary lapses of judgment and things that I say that I don't mean.
03:22Like the America Deserved 9-11 moment is a great example of this.
03:26This is all the way back in 2019.
03:27I said it and I quickly realized that it was going to be misunderstood.
03:34And my intent was not to say that 30,000 Americans deserve to die in this heinous terrorist attack.
03:41Of course not.
03:42It's fundamentally at odds with my advocacy, with my worldview.
03:47I simply was talking about the concept of blowback.
03:50So I apologized for the language I used the next day.
03:53People still cynically bring this up.
03:55I think it's going to be stuck.
03:56I wonder if you are not.
03:58I feel right.
04:00I don't know.
04:00i mean.
04:01I'll pass off the judgment game.
