quiet post on God of Ruin, and my favourite detail is furniture.
Mia sits in corner seats. Lecture hall, library, café — always the position with the fewest angles of approach, back to a wall.
Nobody arranges this. She simply arrives early and takes that seat, every time, and the show never mentions it once.
Then there's an episode where somebody takes that seat before she gets there, and she stands in the doorway for a beat too long, and then leaves the room entirely.
That's four years in one blocked doorway, and no dialogue at all.
✨ What worked for me:
- No character ever comments on where she sits.
- The camera never sits in her seat. You're always approaching her.
✨ Bottom line: watch where a person chooses to sit. It tells you what they're still guarding against.
