Transcript
00:02It's UTMB week. The Super Bowl of trail running.
00:09101 kilometres. 6,000 or so metres of elevation. Biggest thing I will have ever done.
00:15I've never done a 108 mile mountain race. 100 mile races but never a mountain race.
00:22I have done the distance before but I haven't done it in alpine conditions like this.
00:27Of course I'm fearful but I know now that I am not alone.
00:33Here she is. Let's go sir. Fantastic.
00:36You did so well.
00:39Seeing the start line at UTMB, how incredible it was but also how utterly white male dominated it was.
00:47It was in my norm to be the only woman of colour on the start line.
00:52I thought to myself one day I'll be here with more people like me.
00:59And we don't just have one story to tell. We have multiple stories to tell that matter.
01:05Oh my gosh. I have found my people. The mountains are for everybody. We all belong here.
01:11What we're trying to do is create a door for the next generations to come through.
01:16What comes from this moment? The legacy? It's when passion, purpose and potential meet.
01:26IsMies toiletry.
01:29It's been a matter yet.
01:31Love you're just watching.
