00:02I know you had a brief stint before coming in, your leg coming in. How are things this
00:07time around going into what is such a busy and important period?
00:11Yeah, good. Obviously had a much bigger lead-in than the last time. We've got more of a complete
00:19coaching group, been able to debrief the summer properly, prepare, been out in the regions,
00:26and it's been a good preparation to obviously getting the boys into camp next week. So yeah,
00:32have more time to build relationships and get prepared this time around. So it's been a good
00:39start, positive start.
00:40Defensively, obviously, the team did leak, not considerable, but might have tried the last
00:48six nations. What have you seen in terms of improvements and what are you hoping for in
00:57the next month from this side?
01:00From my side, in the summer, we can be much better. I wasn't happy with defence overall.
01:09I think there's much more in us. I think there's improvements to be made. We want to be extremely
01:16tough to break down. We're going to be a tough team to play against. The players are really
01:24ambitious and they want to perform for Wales. Defensively, we want to be more consistent in
01:30our performances this November. Steve Selden says what he's hoping for in terms of goals. He
01:41just always talks about incremental gains. But in terms of the summer, despite South Africa,
01:48did you feel that?
01:51Well, look, the Fiji game was, you know, we won against a good team. They were above us in the
01:58world rankings when we played and they were a dangerous team, as they showed. We actually,
02:03whether it was our hustling on the back, we had to chase back quite a bit and more than we
02:09would have
02:09liked. But there was a huge amount of effort that went in and our set piece really got us on
02:13top and
02:13we're pretty clinical. So there was elements of that. There was strong performance. It's a good Fiji team.
02:20And then, yeah, look, we were disappointed with the Argentina game. Yeah, and I think Steve's spoken
02:26probably openly around that. We had higher expectations of that game and that South Africa's
02:33the toughest challenge in World Rugby or one of the toughest challenges in World Rugby. Like mindset-wise,
02:39we came with loads of intent in that. But we just, you've got to have intent and accuracy, you know,
02:45and both sides of the ball. And that was the big learning from that game. So there's always
02:49lessons to be learned, you know, but I definitely feel as a group, as a player group, like really
02:56determined to win Test matches.
