00:01Nine European destinations are included in the top 15 safest cities in the world to travel to in a new

00:09with Montreal and Canada taking the number one spot.

00:13But two European destinations made it into the top three,

00:17Zurich in Switzerland and Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

00:20The other European destinations include Iceland's Reykjavik, Oslo, Venice, Dublin, Copenhagen, Barcelona and Paris.

00:28While safe cities outside the EU to visit include Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney or Honolulu.

00:35Published by insurance company Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection,

00:39the list was compiled from an initial selection of 38 popular international and domestic cities for US travellers.

00:47This came alongside a survey of more than 1,000 people who were asked which of those cities they had

00:54visited.

00:54The caveat, according to the company, is that the ratings represent safety conditions when the survey was conducted in August
