00:00I'm still skeptical how deep Eric DaCosta would go in a cell.
00:05And this is assuming Lamar's done for the year,
00:08and let's just assume they lose Thursday.
00:10That's their final game before the trade deadline,
00:13you're four and five.
00:15I think the prudent move would be
00:18to get ahead of some of these things.
00:21I acknowledge that trading Marlon or Roquan,
00:24it's a non-starter unless you're eating the bulk of that money.
00:29And if you're really dead set on that
00:31and maybe you just want to see Trenton Simpson and Buchanan there hypothetically
00:35or you want to see some of these young corners that you've been drafting
00:38and you don't care, you'll eat the money,
00:41all right, whatever, that's your prerogative.
00:43But with Bateman, he's under contract through the next three years.
00:49He will be 28 years old in 2027.
00:53His name's been floating out there for trades the past couple of years.
00:57That's why Ken's been driving that bus going back to the beginning of the offseason.
01:03If there was ever a time, it sure feels like it would be now.
01:07And you clear up some of that space for 27, getting a jump on that,
01:12and you get to see some of these young guys.
01:14Elijah Surratt's been a healthy scratch pretty much every single week.
01:17If Bateman is no longer here, obviously Surratt's playing.
01:21Jacoby Lane takes a bigger role.
01:23Tez Walker takes a bigger role.
01:25You really find out what you have in these young guys.
01:27Please.
