03:42and their first two off the bench none of them played none of them and we won by four

03:59about it too much however the hawks play with their food and i don't like it i don't like the

04:54they fought for their whole game and what they did with six players and the six players that they had
05:01out there was definitely very very commendable and i tip my hat to them but the hawks had no business
05:11being in a close game with this version of the indiana pacers point blank period and so it is it

05:20concern me that this was a game and it was a game all the way down to the end so
05:29just got to make sure
05:31the hawks do not play with their food moving forward because again good teams playoff teams
05:40they're supposed to beat these teams by 15 20 points you're supposed to have the bench warmers in
05:47by at least midway through the fourth quarter not hustling and having to sweat out a four-point victory
05:58right down to the end of the ball game that's not that's not how this game should have went that's
06:03not how this game should have gone so again i am glad the hawks won but that is not the

06:14supposed to win that game now as far as some of the good the hawks did nakil alexander walker was
06:22shooting the lights out goodness gracious nakil i see you my boy nakil wish he could have got that
06:2910-3 but he hits nine threes goes nine for 15 from three four rebounds four assists four steals as
06:37well for nakil doing it all 34 points 12 and 25 from the field like i said nine and 15

06:42he was shooting that thing lou dort who got the start four threes four six from three five and ten

06:50the field good to see him do that cj uh lou dort finished with 14 by the way cj and

06:56with uh 13 nyeka not a great nice shooting wise five of 11 actually not too bad five 11 from

07:03field two of five from three had 10 rebounds three assists as well cj 13 points 417 from the field

07:09not the most not the most efficient 13 points at all two or seven from three uh but he did
07:14have nine
07:14rebounds 12 assists cj mccullum one rebound shot of triple double okay i see you cj one steal a block
07:21as well for cj so he was doing it all as well remember jalen johnson he was out tonight with
07:28the uh
07:28the ankle kingston flemings ended up getting suspended uh for this game so he was out so you
07:35are down a couple of guys cory kispert though came in did a great job off the bench 14 points

07:43from the field four seven three he came out spraying in that first half that first quarter
07:48two hawks shot 45 from three 60 or excuse me 45 from three 39 from the field the 63 was
07:57from the
07:57free throw line which is not great but still what the hawks did well they shot the ball well and
08:01it's
08:02a good thing they did because if you didn't shoot the ball well we might have had a different outcome
08:06and we might be having a totally totally totally different conversation so it was good that the hawks
08:12shot the ball so well especially obviously from the three-point line now going back to what the
08:19hawks didn't do well points in the paint you kind of got dominated when it came to points in the
08:24paint
08:24now again a lot of your points were coming from the three so that is part of it too but
08:29as far as
08:29points in the paint you it was 54 to 26 you almost got beat by 30 when it comes to
08:36points in the paint
08:38pacers were getting all their points down low but again hawks were scoring mainly from the three-point
08:43line and we know that quinn snyder and this team they want to be a three-point shooting team they
08:47want to take a lot of threes and so that's part of it too the pacers obviously with none of
08:54their real
08:55actual players that sounds bad when i say it like that with not with a lot of their reserves playing
09:02with most of their reserves playing uh they were you know doing their best to try and get easy buckets
09:08and they were able to do that and get a lot of points in the paint so didn't like the
09:13fact that
09:13you gave up that many points in the paint i thought the again pacers were definitely more aggressive than
09:19you when it came to pushing the envelope and just trying to be aggressive in this game it felt like
09:30the pacers were the aggressors in this one and again that goes to the reserves getting their chance
09:36a lot of those guys getting a chance to play when a lot of those guys that play tonight don't
09:41usually
09:41get and probably won't get a lot of chances to play so they were the aggressors and they have they
09:48were out there with something to prove and again that's where it goes back to the hawks needed to match
09:52that energy and i don't necessarily think they did now they were just straight up better and they
09:57shot the ball better and they they're they're i think their talent for the hawks i think their
10:03talent ultimately took over and helped them win the game but again still shouldn't have been that close
10:08by any stretch of the imagination hawks did a great job though offensive rebound second chance points
10:15i thought that was really good by the hawks they moved the ball well 30 assists to the pacers 22
10:21so i thought they gave themselves extra opportunities when you come to offensive
10:26rebounding getting second chance points they did a good job at that they did a very good job with ball
10:30movement did a very good job shooting the three so offensively not too mad about what the hawks did
10:37but and defensively even you you can't be too mad at 104 but
10:41again this group getting 104 mainly reserves so that was what it was but ultimately look hawks found
10:51a way to get the win and i do appreciate the hawks being able to do that get the win
10:56and now they will
10:58be moving on as they'll take on the wizards next in dc first time trey young will play his former
11:09team
11:09the team that drafted him and then we got a back-to-back actually coming up with the wizards so
11:13next game will be what's today monday wednesday will be the next game in dc against trey young ad
11:21aj debanza and the wizards in dc but then trey young barring injury anything like that will play
11:29in atlanta for the first time since being traded on friday seven o'clock in state farm arena nba cup
11:37game
11:38and so that should be a fun fun night as well uh wizards have been kind of up and down
11:45kind of
11:45like i expected them to be but four and three right now they actually lead the division hawks are a
11:51half
11:51game behind them at four and four but the wizards do lead the uh southeast division right now at four
11:58and three so they've been pretty good and look i've i said this at the beginning of the season
12:03the wizards are going to be the wild card team of the nba this year because they can either be
12:10really good they could be mid or they could be really bad like it could be any of it like

12:18they stay healthy and they play well and they mesh like how they can if ad and trey get the
12:25chemistry
12:25that they can get and they play well and they stay healthy and aj debanza plays like a lottery pick
12:31and you
12:33know gives them what you know a lottery pick should give in his first year they could be a playing
12:39team a playoff team who knows but even though they deal with injuries and ad's out for a time if
12:45trash to miss some time and aj you know gets off to a slow start as far as his rookie
12:49year goes then
12:50they could be really bad they could be mid so i could definitely see right now they're off to a

12:55start we'll see how uh they continue on but this wizards team is the wild card team of the nba

14:23aaron eastsmith they had no andrew nimhard they had no kelly uber jr they had no zubak they had no
14:29obi toppen they had nobody out there again it was all the reserve players so the fact that you only
14:35beat this patient team by four it is concerning to me for sure it definitely is concerning now again
14:43maybe with the hawks knowing that there were a lot of reserves that were going to be playing
14:50they came out coasted a little bit maybe didn't quite have their foot on the uh the gas as much
14:55as they should have and that's what it seemed like played out and look they were still able to get

15:00win but i would have just like what i wanted to see from this hawks team in this game tonight
15:06i wanted them to go ahead get out to a big lead early which they did in the first half
15:12i think i
15:13think it was the first half and they went up by 15 maybe it was early in the third regardless
15:17i wanted
15:18them to get out to a big lead early keep them at bay pretty much the entire game and then
15:24let the
15:26and then let your reserves get in because the game would be at hand and let your reserves get in
15:31and get them some playing time and be able to rest your starters that's the scenario i envisioned
15:39when i first knew that pretty much none of the top guys were playing for the indiana pacers that's
15:47what i envisioned happening but that is not what happened it looked like it was gonna maybe go that
15:52route once the hawks went up 15 but pacers just kept fighting and again i credit the pacers for
15:58continuing to fight continuing to play hard but that's just not what i wanted to see from
16:06this hawks team tonight so again happy with the win wish the win would have looked a little bit better
16:12but all in all at the end of the day i am happy with the win nonetheless but we'll see
16:19how the hawks
16:19fare against the wizards i think it'll be very interesting to see how these two teams match up and
16:24how these two teams play uh i definitely think when the wizards come to atlanta on friday i think
16:32it's going to be a very emotional game i think trey is definitely you know trey is going to try
16:37to get
16:37his you know trey is going to try to pop it off and have a big night and stay far
16:41marina against his
16:42old team so definitely have to be wary of that but i think it's going to be a very very
16:46fun matchup i am
16:47worried about obviously ad trey young is you know trey but i do like you know even the keel or

16:54being able to neutralize trey a little bit you know and aj debanza again who's been playing well
17:00again either dyson or nakiel i expect one of them whoever is not guarding trade to guard aj debanza
17:06and so i think either way it goes it will be a uh a good matchup either way jt what's

17:46i think it was a little bit of a lackadaisical performance from the hawks and it seemed like
17:51they were just they thought maybe they could go through the motions a little bit and then the
17:56wizards gave them a fight and then they got up by 15 and then the wizards came back and they
18:01said oh
18:02the wizards still fighting they still going they not they not done yet they haven't laid down yet
18:06and so the hawks had to finish it out and luckily they were able to finish it out but
18:11again um just wish you could have seen the hawks win by a more of a margin than four at
18:18the end of
18:18the day so again at the end of the day it was what it was so we'll see what ends

18:22on that front he said after this weekend i'll take any atlanta sports team with now that's hey
18:28you're right jt that's that's a good way to put it in perspective right there bro that's a good way

18:32put it put in perspective because after seeing the hawks lose to the pelicans the way they did
18:38and then the atlanta dream losing game seven and i don't even want to talk about what happened with
18:43the falcons man after the falcons losing that debacle of a game that that was you're right
18:50seeing the seeing the atlanta sports team get a win was good so but hey i mean at least you

18:54georgia did beat florida which we expected and atlanta united won so that was good too but
19:00georgia tech lost too their season has not gone the way you would hope but yeah uh i definitely do
19:06feel you on that one though jt that is a very good point after seeing you know what hat what
19:10transpired with some of our major sports teams this weekend a win is a win is definitely a win
