argument time about God of Ruin, and I'll be the one saying the unpopular thing.

The show gives Landon one sympathetic scene near the end. One. The fandom treats it as full redemption, because he's written as brilliant and the actor is good at looking sorry.

But count what changed. Did he stop deciding who she's allowed to talk to? No. He started doing it for reasons he could say out loud.

That isn't growth, it's vocabulary. He didn't become safer — he became more articulate about the same behaviour.

And her exit is written to look like a choice rather than an escape.

✨ What worked for me:
- His explanation scene is four minutes long. Her objection is nine words.
- Nobody in the show ever uses the word controlling. Not once.

✨ Bottom line: a well-explained cage is still a cage, and this one has excellent lighting.

Does he actually change?

— GSH, guilty pleasures, well served 🥂
