00:00After the scourging, the Roman soldiers led Jesus inside the palace courtyard and gathered the whole
00:05cohort around him. Stripping off his garments, they draped a faded scarlet military cloak over
00:10his wounded shoulders in cruel mockery. Weaving a sharp crown from twisted Judean thorns,
00:16the soldiers pressed it down upon his sacred head. They placed a fragile reed in his right hand like
00:21a royal scepter, kneeling before him in scorn. Hail, King of the Jews, they jeered, spitting
00:27upon him and striking his thorny crown with the reed. Yet Jesus sat in profound silence,
00:33bearing every insult with infinite humility and forgiving love for his tormentors.
00:37Pilate then led Jesus out onto the stone balcony, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple cloak.
00:43Pointing to the suffering Savior before the crowd, Pilate proclaimed, Behold the man,
00:48though he found no guilt inside. When the chief priests cried out for crucifixion,
00:53Jesus looked upon them with sorrowful mercy and divine patience. Crowned with thorns for our pride,
00:59Christ reigns forever as the humble King of love and eternal peace.
