00:47this situation. Langris smirks back as his teammate teases him, telling him not to say that he is
00:52just going to let Xenon keep thrashing him. As he unleashes a massive barrage of bone whips across
00:58the room, Xenon states that he already knows what they can and cannot do. Once inside his absolute
01:04space, spatial mana domination, most people cannot use magic at all. The only ones capable of doing so
01:11are those who have an equivalent amount of mana, those who are beloved by mana, like Yuno who manages
01:17to free himself, and spatial mages who have mastered mana zone. Langris spreads his arms wide and
01:23unleashes a massive spherical spatial barrier around himself. Xenon's bone whips rush straight toward
01:29the barrier. However, as the tips of the bone whips touch the outer edge of the sphere, they instantly
01:34disintegrate, erased from space. Xenon remarks that although it may be small, his opponent has created
01:41his own territory within the absolute space. Behind him, Yuno smiles, saying that he knew the older
01:47mage could do it, and praising him for a job well done. Langris grins back through his bruises,
01:53complaining that his teammate is one seriously irritating junior member. He reflects on the
01:58past, remembering how ever since Yuno joined the brigade, the boy had been insolent and presumptuous,
02:04yet possessed the skills to back it up. Looking back, Langris realizes he may have hated him
02:10because the two of them were so similar. Standing proudly at the front of the golden dawn in his
02:15memories, he recalls how he never felt as if he would lose, and had believed there was no way
02:20somebody like Yuno could ever surpass him. Back in the heat of battle, Langris's spatial sphere

02:32assault, coldly stating that in the end, his opponent has no way to attack him, and possesses no spell
02:38capable of defeating him. Langris thinks desperately to himself that the devil host's mana is completely
02:44out of their league, and that he is not going to last long. He shouts back to Yuno, urging him

02:49charge up as fast as he can, and his teammate, brimming with concentrated mana, replies with a
02:55confident grin that he is working on it. The senior mage remembers standing victorious over a defeated
03:01opponent obliterated by his spatial magic, recalling how he used to believe that his power was invincible,
03:06that doing his best was all it took, and that as long as he was there, his brigade was the
03:12strongest.

05:03stares directly down the line of the devastating arrow. Holding the giant bow steady, the young
05:08windmage locks onto his target in the distance. A blinding star of concentrated mana ignites at the tip
05:14of the arrow as he releases the shot. It rockets right past the side of Langris' head and blasts a
05:20clean, circular hole straight through the center of Xenon's skeletal chest before the villain can react.
05:26Xenon coughs up blood, marveling internally at the incredible speed of the attack. He thinks in
05:32disbelief that he never imagined it was possible to run his current body through. Yuno glares down and
05:38declares that their tenacity wins this battle. However, Xenon's demonic eye narrows sharply as
05:45his mind drifts into a flashback in the snowy Spade Kingdom, where a bruised, younger version of
05:50himself stares blankly ahead while his siblings ask what happened to him and if he got hurt again.
05:56Vonnecke mocks him as a loser, while Dante smirks beside her and remarks that for someone who is his
06:01little brother, he is pretty pathetic. Later, along a snowy stone path, their older brother approaches in a
06:08wheelchair while coughing and tells him not to worry. He smiles warmly through his cough and reassures
06:14the boy that he is the one most like him, adding that he possesses a greater aptitude for being a
06:19devil host than either Dante or Vonnecke. Sometime later, a group of local bullies assaults the young
06:25boy in an alley. While he hunches on the ground with small bones protruding defensively from his back,
06:30one bully praises their leader, John, for being so tough. John packs a snowball with a rock inside and
06:37sneers that Xenon is a creepy little guy whose bones shoot out of his body. Lunging forward to
06:42smash the rock-filled snowball into his head, John boasts that his dad is in the mage defense force
06:48and declares that he will slay him. Suddenly, a burst of fire magic explodes, knocking John backward
06:54into the snow as he yells out in pain from the heat. As the bully's singed coat smokes, a spiky

15:45settle this fast. The two brothers warp rapidly across the chamber inside their spatial sphere,

15:56now knows how fast the older brother teleports, when he does it, and what they are after, deciding he
16:02will end them the moment they come in to settle the fight. Planning to get in close inside his mana
16:07zone so they can attack, the brothers suddenly appear right behind the devil as he prepares to strike
16:12and declares that it is over. Caught off guard by their sudden proximity, Xenon questions what happened,
16:18as Finral reveals that he used mana method to boost their speed. As Langris thrusts his palm forward,
16:24his brother thinks that because his magic gouges through space itself, the devil's defenses will not
16:29mean a thing no matter how powerful they are, and the attack carves a massive, clean trench straight
16:35through Xenon's torso. Elsewhere in the ruined structure, Yuno slowly opens his eyes on the stone floor of a
16:41circular library chamber. Groaning as he struggles to sit up, he wonders how many seconds, or rather,
16:48how many minutes, he was unconscious. Looking through the gaping hole blasted into the wall
16:52ahead of him, his eyes widen in horror as he wonders where his enemy is and calls out Langris' name.
16:59Through the smoke, Xenon hovers with his wings spread wide, holding Finral impaled high in the air on
17:05bone spikes while a defeated Langris slumps motionless on the ground. As the exposed devil's
17:11heart beats steadily inside his regenerating chest, Xenon coldly states that even spatial magic that
17:17erases everything could not destroy it. Yuno stares in sheer terror, realizing that both Langris and his
17:24brother from Asta's brigade are going to be killed. Trembling and groaning in agony as he tries to push
17:30himself up from the floor, the young mage despairs that nothing worked and wonders what he can possibly
17:36do even if he gets back up, while Xenon coldly declares his own victory. Questioning if he made

24:10surrounding space, shattering the bone structures and his opponent's floating stars alike. Shocked that
24:16the devil host tore space itself apart, Yuno realizes he cannot block the attack and cannot regenerate the
24:22broken stars right away. As Xenon presses the offensive, he remembers standing in a doorway,
24:27listening to his older brother explain that because the weak die easily and it is impossible to
24:33protect them all, they will temporarily destroy them and regenerate them with undying bodies.
24:39Recalling his four Zogratis siblings, including Dante and Vanica, gathered around their elder brother,
24:44he remembers the promise that with the devil's power, they can use their magic to remake humanity
24:50into fortunate citizens who have no fear of death, creating a truly peaceful spade kingdom.

25:45the brink of death, Yuno achieves a resonance with his spirit very close to 100%, attaining saint stage
25:51and the power to destroy a devil. This happens even as Xenon creates three portals behind him,
25:57passing bones out of them to pierce across his chest, believing that everything is pointless in
26:02the face of overwhelming power. As Xenon swings and declares his victory, Yuno teleports away.
