00:59it is 500 million euros will be our initial participation this is a very
01:04important and effective mechanism and I actually commend the innovation of
01:09President von der Leyen the Commission and President Costa in creating this using
01:15frozen assets in order to provide much-needed financing for Ukraine of course
01:21what comes behind that is is tangible support for defense and reconstruction in
01:28Ukraine we had a broader discussion of the broader financing needs and security
01:34needs of Ukraine as we often do as we meet there's a number of other avenues with
01:39partners and I'll make the point as by way of illustration if I could forgive me it's a not a
01:46perfect analogy but it's illustrative as you're aware there we are members of the coalition of the
01:53willing as are many other countries that is an example of an application of what would be an
01:58Alliance for the future in that there's a specific objective which is to support the people of
02:06Ukraine support the principles of territorial integrity freedom democracy that is focused on as
02:12you know security guarantees it's possibility through this mechanism this ambition this nucleus to
02:18broaden that level of support using those those mechanisms and the only what I would say I'm gonna
02:26pick up and then I will hand reinforce something that President von der Leyen said which is this is a
02:33positive Association this is a positive Alliance this is four things it's about creating opportunity building
02:42prosperity addressing sustainability and reinforcing sovereignty why so we can live our lives as we
02:50choose our people can live their lives as they choose and have the full freedoms that people enjoy in the
02:55European Union and enjoy in Canada so it's not against anything it's for and those who choose to be
03:01for solutions will be pleased with the result and I can pick up here indeed there's a broad support and
03:10shared ambition among the member states but you also experience it in the European
03:16Parliament a vast majority that is for the fact to bring Canada closer to the European Union we would have
03:24loved to
03:24discuss about membership full-fledged membership but it is impossible we know that and therefore we are exploring the
