00:07Surah Al-Fatihah
00:57Surah Al-Fatihah
01:17Surah Al-Fatihah
01:45Surah Al-Fatihah
01:49Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, our beloved Father Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said
01:56that whoever doesn't respect our elders and whoever doesn't show mercy to our young ones,
02:05he is not from us, meaning he is not on the way of Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
02:15And especially also Allah Almighty, he has mentioned the great rank of daughters.
02:23Allah Almighty has told us the rank of daughters in the Quranul Kareem.
02:30In the time of Jahiliyyah, this refers to the time before Islam.
02:36In the time of Jahiliyyah, women and daughters, they were not given any importance.
02:43They were seen as something which held no value, they held no importance.
02:53And before Islam, it was a common practice amongst the people of Jahiliyyah,
03:02that they would bury their daughters alive.
03:06When their wives would give birth to a son, they would be happy, they wouldn't have any problems,
03:11they would be happy always.
03:13But as soon as their wives would give birth to a daughter,
03:19or as soon as they found out that they had a daughter,
03:23then their faces would become dark.
03:26They would show displeasure upon their faces.
03:30And they would beat their wives, and they would abuse their wives,
03:34as if it was their choice to have a daughter.
03:38Then after the child, after she came a bit older, a bit higher of age,
03:45as soon as she grew up a bit,
03:47they would take her to the graveyard.
03:50And the people in Jahiliyyah, they would bury their daughters alive,
03:55with their own hands.
04:00So when Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was born,
04:05and light came to creation,
04:07the world was enlightened by the Lord Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
04:12Creation was enlightened by the guidance of the best of all creation,
04:16our final Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
04:19Then Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
04:22he taught us to love and respect our daughters.
04:27Allah says in the Quranul Kareem, in Surah Ashura,
04:32يَهَضُوا لِمَنْ يَشَاءُوا إِنَاثًا وَيَهَضُوا لِمَنْ يَشَاءُوا
04:40Allah says in the summary that He grants female children to whom He wills,
04:46and He grants male children to whom He wills.
04:50And there's a point of reflection here,
04:56that Allah Almighty first mentions,
04:58يَهَضُوا لِمَنْ يَشَاءُوا إِنَاثًا
05:02Then Allah mentions, وَيَهَضُوا لِمَنْ يَشَاءُوا ذَقُوا
05:07Allah Almighty first mentions daughters first.
05:10That Allah Almighty, He gives daughters to whoever He wills,
05:15and Allah Almighty, He gives sons to whoever He wills.
05:18So the point of, point to focus upon here,
05:22is that Allah Almighty firstly, He mentions daughters.
05:26Then Allah Almighty, He mentions sons second.
05:29So this is a point to show the importance of daughters in Islam.
05:35Some people, they say that Islam, it doesn't give right to women.
05:39It doesn't give importance to women.
05:41But when we actually reflect and read the Quranul Kareem,
05:44we see the great right that Allah Almighty, He gives to daughters and to sons as well.
05:51And especially, you can see, as I mentioned in this ayah, Allah Almighty,
05:54first He mentions that He gives daughters to whoever He wills,
05:57and then He gives, then He mentions, He gives sons to whoever He wills.
06:03And Allah Almighty, He also says in Surah Ashura,
06:28So Allah Almighty, He gives someone both male and female to them,
06:33both sons and daughters, or He can, or He can make people barren,
06:39He can make them have no children.
06:42So Allah Almighty, He shows the great, the sanctity and the sacredness of the na'bah that He has given,
06:54the sacredness and sanctity of the daughters.
06:57And this is clear from the Quranul Kareem.
07:01And also Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
07:05He also taught us the importance of daughters in the blessed Ahadith Al-Naburiya,
07:10Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
07:13In summary, Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said,
07:29That whoever is tested with daughters and treats them well,
07:33they will become a shield for him against the fire.
07:37SubhanAllah.
07:39In summary, Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said,
07:42That whoever is tested with the daughters and then he treats them well,
07:49they will become a sitar follower against the hellfire.
07:54Sitar, this means something which protects you from the hellfire.
07:59Also Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
08:02in summary he said,
08:04That whoever takes care of two daughters until they reach maturity.
08:11Whoever has two daughters and takes care of them until they reach the age of maturity,
08:18he and I will come together on the day of resurrection.
08:23And Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
08:25He made a gesture with his three blessed fingers.
08:29SubhanAllah.
08:32So this is clear, this is Wadiq.
08:34It shows the great right of daughters in Islam.
08:38People have many, many misconceptions.
08:41Sometimes you meet people, non-Muslims,
08:44and they say that Islam, it doesn't give importance to daughters.
08:48It doesn't give any great right to daughters.
08:51But if you actually study the Quranul Kareem,
08:55and the blessed Ahadithul Namawiyyah of Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
09:00then we will know that Islam itself is the means that women and daughters have a great right.
09:08We will know that Islam actually gave respect to women and daughters.
09:13Because as I mentioned before,
09:17that in the time of Jahiliyyah,
09:20people, they didn't have, they didn't show any respect to daughters.
09:24They didn't show any respect to their children.
09:27As I mentioned, they were buried alive with their own hands.
09:32For what sin were they killed?
09:36These pure children, pure girls, who were sinless.
09:41It is the aqeena of the Ahlul Sunnati wa Jama'ah,
09:43that children, until they reach the age of Baraba, or puberty,
09:49they are on Deen al-Fitr.
09:51They are Muslims at that time.
09:53That if a child, if they die before the age of puberty,
09:57they will enter into Jannah.
09:58Even if their parents are non-Muslim.
10:01Because they are marfogul qalab,
10:03meaning the pen is not writing their sins.
10:06Marfogul qalab means the pen is listed from them.
10:10So, before a child reaches the age of puberty,
10:14before he becomes an adult,
10:16if he dies before the age of puberty,
10:18he will enter into Jannah, he will die as a Muslim.
10:22And a child, all of his good deeds are written.
10:26Any good deed that he has done, it is written.
10:29But his sins are not written.
10:30He is marfogul qalab.
10:32His sins are not written for him.
10:34So this shows the purity of children.
10:37That Allah Almighty,
10:39He has made them pure.
10:40He has made them free from the error of sin.
10:45He has made them free from sins being written upon them.
10:48But Allah Almighty, He writes their good deeds.
10:51And if they die before puberty, they will enter into Jannah.
10:57And Allah Almighty, He also says,
11:00in the Quranul Kareem, in Surah al-Nahl,
11:06When any one of you are given the glad tidings of a female child,
11:13his face becomes darkened.
11:15This is speaking about the people of Jahiliyyah,
11:18in the time of Jahiliyyah.
11:19That when they were given the glad tidings of a female child,
11:24his face becomes darkened.
11:26And he is still brief.
11:31He hides himself from the people because of the bad news he has been given.
11:35So he would not even go in front of the people,
11:37because he was the person who had a daughter.
11:42Then Allah Almighty, He also condemns them.
11:44And He says,
11:51Questionably, evil is what they decide.
11:56That, unquestionably, is evil what they decide.
11:59That, this is evil from them.
12:01When they respond in such a way,
12:03when they become a way that they've had a daughter,
12:06when they respond in such a way,
12:08that their faces become dark,
12:11that their faces become dark,
12:14and they hide themselves from the people.
12:17They become upset.
12:19Allah says, this is evil from them.
12:22So, the Quran, it teaches us to love our daughters,
12:27to have respect for our daughters.
12:29Also, Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
12:32in summary, he said,
12:34that do not speak bad about daughters,
12:36because indeed, I have daughters as well.
12:40We see that the best of all creation,
12:42Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
12:44We see that our Father Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
12:47he himself, he had daughters.
12:51And his most beloved daughter, Sayyidina Fatimah al-Zahira,
12:54رضي الله عنها,
12:56Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said,
12:58that she is the queen of the women of paradise.
13:03And Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said,
13:06إِنَّمَا فَاتِمَةُ بِدَعَكُمْ مِنِّي
13:08that indeed Fatimah, my daughter Fatimah,
13:11she is a piece of my heart.
13:14She is a piece of my flesh.
13:16She is a piece of my heart.
13:17This was a kalima of bravery,
13:21a kalima of jihad at that time.
13:23Because women at that time,
13:25they were not given respect,
13:26they were not loved by Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
13:30The light of guidance,
13:32the best of all creation,
13:33of Father Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
13:35He came and he said,
13:37إِنَّمَا فَاتِمَةُ بِدَعَكُمْ مِنِّي
13:40that indeed my daughter Fatimah,
13:44she is a piece of my heart.
13:46She is a piece of my flesh.
13:49She is a piece of me, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
13:52So this shows the great right,
13:54that Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
13:58he gave to do this.
14:02Also Sayyidina Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam,
14:04he said,
14:05Say Allah and treat your children equally.
14:09So the ahadith that I've recited,
14:13the ayah of the Quranul Kareem which I've recited,
14:16this clearly shows the right,
14:17that Islam gives to do this.
14:20And.
14:22And.
14:24And.
14:33Finally,
14:35What is the word?
