Danny and Sandy said it best, "Ohhh, uhhhh, those summm-merrrr niiiighhhts." Or, you know, something like that. And, while they may have been crooning about finding young love, we kind of think they were complaining about how surprisingly cold it can get when the sun sets. Instead of joining in their belly-aching, we decided to do something about the sneaky seasonal chill. So, we put together three layered looks that are just warm enough without feeling too bundled up. We'll take that T-Birds leather jacket now, thank you very much.

00:12Hi, I'm Annie, Senior Style Editor of Refinery29, and today on Trend Takeout we're talking warm weather layers.
00:17This first look is the perfect long weekend travel outfit.
00:20You're super layered up on top in case of any climate changes while en route,
00:24and you're even layered up on bottom with bike shorts under sheer pants.
00:30If you never wear that bodycon dress in your closet, give it new life by pairing a mini skirt on
00:34top for an innovative layered up nighttime look.
00:40This last summer layering tip is a super simple way to repurpose so many pieces of your closet.
00:45Pair a t-shirt under any tank summer dress for a 90s inspired look.
00:49Just because it's warm outside doesn't mean you can't still layer up, and now you have three great ways to
00:54do it.
00:54See you next time.
01:00Take care.
