00:00We are at the New York City Pride.
00:03We've got lots of friends that are cloning from different parts of the world
00:05to celebrate equality and celebrate gay rights.
00:09We've fought so long for this.
00:11Pride needs life, liberty and pursuit of happiness
00:13and to be able to choose how you want to live your life and who you want to marry.
00:17When all protected groups are free, you're all free.
00:21I don't want there to be any type of decision made by the law
00:25telling me how I should live my life.
00:27So it affects us in all different ways, including being women
00:31and having women's rights. It's human rights.
00:34My kids don't always have an easy year.
00:36This is like the one day of the year and I'm like, keep the feeling all year.
00:40To hear people cheer for them, people support them,
00:43then they can use that moment when it's difficult later.
00:47We can remember back when people who were really on the margins of life,
00:52people who were not accepted anywhere.
00:54Older people are often forgotten about when it talks about gay rights.
00:58They were the ones who fought to make gays like to be possible.
01:01This place is right next to Stonewall, 46 years ago.
01:05This is where it all started.
01:07And two days ago, it all ended.
01:09And we have so happy equality for everybody across America.
01:13We know that we're in a new way of being in the world.
01:17And I believe that's why these crowds are so filled with joy and support.
01:24We're in a place of love now.
01:28I wore this outfit today, not with the pride colors, but of the United States,
01:34because we finally did the right thing.
01:37I'm proud of my country.
01:38I'm proud of what our Supreme Court did.
01:41We did the right thing.
01:43Love, equality, and justice, finally.
01:47Howdy.
01:47And finally, here we go.
