When heavy rain meets a sudden breakdown, the road can become dangerous in seconds. A traffic accident occurred on the Ring Road in St. Petersburg, Russia, after two wheels came off a tow truck, leaving it stranded in a traffic lane during heavy rain. With the tow truck stopped in the roadway and visibility affected by the downpour, the situation quickly became hazardous for approaching drivers. Two other trucks then lost control and crashed into the stationary tow truck. The impact left the vehicles severely crumpled on the wet road, turning an initial breakdown into a multi-vehicle collision. With rain continuing to fall, the wrecked trucks created an alarming scene on the busy ring road.
