00:05My Instagram style is a complete rainbow.
00:09I basically use it as a portfolio piece to showcase all of the cool things that I'm seeing,
00:15doing, creating.
00:16It started off as like a fun personal project that just made me happy and I actually challenged
00:21myself to try to post every single day something that inspired me.
00:25I still try not to take it too seriously because I just want to make it something that is fun
00:29for me and I enjoy doing.
00:31Whether people like my pictures or not, I still am going to post them because they make me happy.
00:36So I know that I'm going to be switching Instagram styles with Jess, but she has no idea she's
00:43switching with me.
00:43My Instagram style has a lot of color in it, but the colors aren't necessarily like happy
00:50like Jess's.
00:51They're more to express a specific emotion or mood.
00:55After looking at Jess's page, I am excited about all the colors she uses.

01:02I'm very into colors.
01:04So the person I'm swapping with is sitting right next to me and I have no idea who it is.

01:21So follow Holly and I for the next three days as we completely switch our Instagram styles.
01:27So today is day one of the Instagram switch challenge and I'm currently in the studio.
01:34It's Saturday morning and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to pull off three Instagram
01:38posts in Holly style.
01:40I usually put up some really bright lights, have some really fun pops of color and fun
01:46props and that's as complicated as I get.
01:49I kind of wish Holly was here to help me and teach me some of her tricks because she's a
01:54pro
01:54at this.
01:55So I know with Jess's photography, it's usually pretty well lit.
01:59So that's what we're going to pull off today.

02:03Look at that.
02:04Greasy.

02:06Lube.
02:09It's just like a crazy thing.
02:12Why are we doing this?
02:12This is insane.

02:22I've never worked with this color before.
02:25It's called black, but here we go.
02:28We also found this projector.
02:30So we're going to put some cool light on our faces and try to get some cool shots with
02:35that.

02:37So this is the first shot of the Instagram swap.
02:41Here's what it's kind of looking like on my camera.
02:44This is the first one.
02:45I feel like everything's set up.
02:47I'm liking it.
02:48It feels really weird because it's so dark for me and moody, but it's looking cool.
02:55I'm excited.
02:58There's a really cool spot with palm leaves, which I think fits Jessica's vibe.
03:03Very summery and it has some cool lighting in the ceiling above it.
03:08So I'm going to go into the hotel where the cinema is, sneak around and get the shot.

03:18So here's kind of the shot that I'm getting.
03:23It's dark.
03:25It's moody.

03:28So for the second shot, I'm already getting some really cool stuff.
03:34It's definitely nothing I would have ever shot in a million years, but I'm like so excited
03:41that I know how to shoot this now.
03:44Like this just opened up a whole new world for me that I'm going to like explore now and
03:50go crazy with.
03:58Feeling a little awkward just storming in here.

04:11We're about to shoot the photos that you've been waiting for.
04:27I have two shots down and I have one more shot to go.
04:30We set up a mini little studio in my apartment.
04:34We're thinking about maybe doing some like hand moody hand shots since I already have like a flower and a
04:41portrait.
04:42I thought that would help mix it up and round it out.
04:44I tried to do some like outdoor landscape stuff.
04:47It just like wasn't working and we're on a time crunch.
04:51So we're going to see what we can get done in like an hour tonight.
04:59Just finished shooting with these beautiful ladies.
05:03And it's all done.
05:05Got my three photos set.
05:06Now it's just time to post them.
05:08We'll see.
05:09We'll see what happens.
05:11Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way that they turned out.
05:15The last post which I just posted about two hours ago is the portrait which I feel like I nailed
05:21Holly's style the most.
05:22And she commented and wrote Yas with three exclamation points.
05:27This was a success.
05:28I feel like I totally met the goal of the challenge.
05:33Maybe I'll try to experiment a little bit more.
05:35Challenge is done.
05:36My three photos are on my feed and they're doing well.
05:41I'm kind of surprised actually how well they're doing.
05:43You know the photo I did of Sabrina is doing it has the most likes on my whole feed.
05:49So that goes to show you just whatever you're doing is totally working and it's beautiful and wonderful.
05:55And you know I learned more about color blocking and framing things a little differently.
06:00And that's going to help me with all my future stuff.
06:02I've already used this poppy color block thing that you do with someone recently and it looks wonderful looks great.
06:10Creative people you have to you have to try everything before you can find your own niche and figure out
06:15what you yourself like and what is your calling.
06:17And if there's anything that you guys can take away from this video I hope that it is to take
06:22the pressure off yourself a little bit when it comes to social media.
06:25Have a lot of fun with it.
06:27Mix it up and get creative.
