00:06I never really plan my sets. I just vibe off of what I feel energetically in the
00:13room on the dance floor. It's just this magic connection where I just like try
00:20and take the crowd on a journey or give that crowd the same exact feeling that I
00:27feel when I hear my favorite house music song you would never think that like
00:43being a DJ would be the best job for a working mom but somehow it is because
00:50I'm able to spend my entire day with my daughter I put her to bed I go
00:57DJ while you know she's sleeping I come back I get to feed her breakfast. There's
01:02not a second I miss with my child. I am so lucky and blessed that I get to be
01:11a mom. It's really given me a new purpose a new meaning in life. It's been really
01:20beautiful and really a challenge. I don't see my husband as often as most wives see
01:28their husbands and it's gotten interesting because I because I have been a lot
01:34busier since I've had the baby. All of us do it by planning carefully but what I
01:39think most importantly is she does what she loves and everything around her makes
01:45her happy. She's such an active person so you know I'm really kind of like a laid
01:50back kind of guy and she's always on the go. She's always full of energy always
01:56going fully in everything she does and that really inspires me.
02:07I have a really busy lifestyle and yoga has inspired me in so many ways. There's something really
02:15special about being able to ground myself no matter where I am. Meditating is
02:23like being able to recognize when something is coming up in your head and
02:27letting it go. It's helped me navigate through life through airports and
02:33traveling and being in clubs and having hectic schedules it kind of helps me just
02:39like okay we can do this. Namaste everybody. I always try and show people the parallels
02:47between the dance music community and the yoga community because if you think about
02:51it when people come to a nightclub they come to let loose regardless of size, shape,
02:58color, ethnicity, religion and they move their body and they express themselves and in a yoga
03:05studio you do the same. You know you keep your eyes on your own mat you get to move
03:11you get to express yourself it's the same thing you don't you don't know anything
03:15about your neighbor but you're moving with them. Being a mom you are taking a
03:22child on a journey through life right and when you are a DJ or a musician you're
03:29taking people on a journey as well. You're guiding them through life in a
03:35different way musically. I feel like I when I'm in front of a crowd they are all
03:40my little babies and by the end by the end we let them go and then they you know
03:45you give them the tools that you need to be happy and then they can go off on
03:50their own.
