00:06I hate to break up the 100% white male card game in the retiring room, but I think this
00:11is an important debate.
00:30Minority Leader, would you apologize to the body?
00:33I have no intention of apologizing.
00:35I am so tired of watching Representative Susan Allen give an amazing speech, Representative
00:42Reena Moran give the most heartfelt, incredible speech I've heard on this House floor, watching
00:48Representative Ilhan Omar give an amazing speech, and looking around to see where are
00:53my colleagues.
00:54And I went in the retiring room, and I saw where a bunch of my colleagues were.
00:58And I'm really tired of watching women of color, in particular, being ignored.
01:06So I'm not sorry.
01:15I just wanted to give a definition of racism.
01:20Racism is prejudice, discrimination, antagonism directed against someone of a different race.
01:28race, based on the belief that someone's own race is superior.
01:32So I just want to set the record straight that I don't think Minority Leader could be called,
01:44her comments could be called racist.
01:47So thank you.
01:49So thank you.
