00:00We are here with James Marsden and his son, his date tonight.
00:03Are you guys excited?
00:04You're having fun with the Screen Actors Guild Awards?
00:06Yeah, we're excited.
00:08I'm just trying to keep up with him with the dress, the attire here.
00:11Well, that's very cool what you're wearing.
00:13Very, very cool.
00:14I can wear things I can't.
00:15I'm just trying to keep up.
00:16You got on Gucci shades, a Gold Link bracelet.
00:19You're ready.
00:20You got your swagger on 10 today, don't you?
00:22Ready, yeah.
00:23I'm all good, yeah.
00:24Question, James.
00:25Are you a robot?
00:26Have you seen the show yet or no?
00:28I have.
00:29I have.
00:29That's why I'm asking.
00:30You're asking me in person if I'm a robot.
00:35Maybe.
00:35I'm trying to think of my most robotic times.
00:38From about when I wake up until noon, I'm a robot.
00:42All right.
00:43Can we get a daddy-son robot moment right now?
00:46Dance?
00:47No?
00:47Can we do it?
00:48No, I don't know if that's going to happen.
00:49I don't know that we'd be able to do it like you can.
00:51One of the things about this performance is because you sing, you dance, this is much more pulled in and
00:57sometimes chilly.
00:58I mean, do you like that?
01:00Do you like sort of playing kind of borderline terrifying as opposed to song and dance?
01:06Yeah, each job is different.
01:08And this one, when it came my way, I got to meet Jonah Nolan and read the script and I
01:12knew the people were involved.
01:14I think Evan and I were the last people to come on board.
01:16So I knew that Anthony Hopkins, everybody was on board.
01:18So the appeal was the project alone.
01:21And then the role, the potential of where I could go was really cool.
01:24For me, it's obviously very different than a Hairspray or Enchanted or even X-Men.
01:3030 Rock.
01:31Yeah, yeah, exactly.
01:32But that's kind of fun for me as an actor, being able to run the gamut from kind of quiet
01:39and reserved and mysterious to...
01:41Song and dance.
01:42Yeah, song and dance.
01:43Well, maybe, you know, you could be programmed to do that, theoretically.
01:46Thank you guys so much for stopping by and enjoy the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
01:50Good to be here.
