00:02And possibly a season debut is number 10 Andre Franco. More on his story as we move along in recent
00:09games for Orlando. It's a comfortable autumn evening in Chicago. And on that note, as we look at Robert Lewandowski,
00:16who made his NLS debut on July 22nd, the two biggest summer signings going head to head tonight. And we're
00:23underway.
00:24First time paired with Elliott. See what that tandem provides tonight as we look at Haile Selassie for Chicago. Switch
00:34to the right side. Leonardo Barroso, Portuguese fullback, leaves this for Zinternato. Play it in and there's Lewandowski with a
00:41chance and it would not go. Flag does go up on the far side.
00:45In 575 minutes, it is the longest goal-scoring drought for a Lewandowski club game since leaving Poland 16 years
00:58ago. That in itself, that in itself is incredible. You don't have to say anything else to just talk about
01:05the quality of him.
01:10Easy thing is, in the midst of that stretch, he did play for Poland. He had a hat-trick against
01:15Romania. As we look at Greg Berhalter seeking answers, he'll tell you his team's greatest asset is its depth. It's
01:21being tested tonight. No Mbokazi, no Jay Davila in midfield. Each suspended tonight for his club.
01:28Ivan Angulo racing ahead. His shot goal! The Colombian strikes it out of nowhere. The Lions roar and in the
01:36game's sixth minute, they've got the lead on the road. In a flash, Ivan Angulo with the big moment early
01:44in Chicago.
01:50Ivan Angulo. His breakout season for years and that's the transitional play. The counter-attack in Griezmann just getting in
01:58between the midfield and the defense.
01:59And Angulo, the pace of him here. But also, we know that he's quick, but then he has the strength
02:04when he's ready and it's a wonderful finish into the corner.
02:07And Angulo, he deserves that. The way that he has been playing, the way that he has been assisting others.
02:13And now he gets his name on the score sheet. He still has so much to do, but to have
02:16the pace and the strength to hold off Barroso, it's a wonderful finish and a dream start for Orlando.
02:23Back to the foot of the captain, Jack Elliott. Intercepted though. Brian Ojeda stepped up to win that ball. And
02:29now the dangerous Griezmann rolls innocently under the waiting arms of Chris Brady.
02:34One thing that you'll say about both. Perhaps the sage approach by Coach Martine Perelman. Played across for the fire.
02:42And here's Philip Zinkernagel.
02:44Resendated player contract extended last month here in Chicago. Soletro skips it and a go! Big save made! Crepeau reached
02:52up, makes the stop, out for the first quarter of the night.
02:55And it's a lot of the presses and demands a lot from its forwards, but his work rate off the
03:00ball. We all know what he's capable of on the ball, but off the ball he's been sensational as well.
03:05Zinkernagel on the move here for the fire. Trailing on their home ground early. Philip Zinkernagel to work the...
03:11Oh, there's Lewandowski! A chance that would not go. Fire tee up, another shot. That's blocked away.
03:19You'll just see Lewandowski. He just pulls off the back of Breckleau. Breckleau has no idea where he is. Gets
03:25everything right. You think he's going to fight that?
03:32The Danish all-star, he'll give it a go, put that over the bar.
03:37Imagine, Burisman looking to win this back.
03:41And the fire pumped this ahead. In good space for Haile Selassie.
03:45Now Haile Selassie on the move here for Chicago.
03:48Zinkernagel looks at his options. Plays this ball through. There's Crepeau to snuff that out.
03:57Zinkernagel on the doorstep for Chicago.
04:00Lewandowski is not happy. He believes he was manhandled by Iago, the left-sided centre-back.
04:06And then he'll do it. End of it again.
04:08See the two centre-backs for Orlando as well. Just trying to create a problem if they can create a
04:12gap.
04:15It's going to be O'Heda. Save me.
04:19Definitely lose ball quickly as Chris Brady.
04:21To tee that up, he could not.
04:24Still Robert Lewandowski for Chicago.
04:27Now Barosso.
04:30What a hell.
04:37Barosso moves at Oz from the crowd.
04:39There's this ball across!
04:42Service into the box and there's Saletros and Haile Selassie looking for the finish.
04:47It'll come back the other way.
04:48It's clinched. Orlando City, not yet.
04:52Turning with it, Ivana Angulo.
04:54Finds another gear and picks up Griezmann who's on the run.
04:57Antoine Griezmann to work it across.
04:59Ellis.
05:00Good intervention broken up by Gutmann for Chicago.
05:11Once again, it's another quick break from Orlando.
05:14Just catching Chicago out.
05:16All comes across.
05:18And Koopman's able to get there.
05:19For Ellis.
05:21One of the best transition teams in MLS.
05:23Orlando City.
05:24And so much skill in those top three positions.
05:26Griezmann, Martino, O'Heda.
05:28And Ellis.
05:31It's a highlight reel waiting to happen.
05:33Terrific 1v1 player.
05:35Here's Noguera.
05:36Ahead for Griezmann.
05:37Antoine Griezmann gets it to the goal.
05:39Scores.
05:40Oh, what a shot.
05:42The Lion King roars again.
05:45Antoine Griezmann for a 2-0 Orlando City lead.
05:51Now with goals in five consecutive games.
05:54This is exactly what Griezmann does.
05:56Just watch him in this position.
05:57He's actually in an offside position.
05:59But he's waiting for the play to just unfold.
06:02All of a sudden, the centre-backs, they have no idea where he is.
06:04So as the centre-backs are dropping off, he stops.
06:07That enables him to take a touch, turn, and then finish.
06:09But it's brilliant play from Griezmann.
06:11Absolutely magnificent.
06:12And then what he does to finish things off,
06:14he uses Honke Olsen as sort of a domine.
06:17If he thinks to himself,
06:18if I can get it round the outside of him,
06:21then Brady is going to be unsighted.
06:23Absolutely magnificent from Griezmann.
06:25The touch, the movement, the finish.
06:28And you can see the reaction from Brady.
06:29Gula with a touch and a cross for Ellis.
06:38Justin Ellis takes this into the 18.
06:41Ellis across.
06:42They let it go.
06:42And the shot at the top of the box,
06:44off the foot of Angulo,
06:46looking for a second of the game.
06:47How about the dummy by Ojeda?
06:48Well constructed.
06:49Every time they go forward,
06:51you're expecting something to happen.
06:52You're expecting to find the back of the net,
06:53a save from Brady once again.
06:55Really good build-up play.
06:57It is 16 MLS games.
07:01We're underway to start the second half
07:04here at Soldier Field.
07:06No Damiani, no Iloski, no Kevin Sullivan.
07:08And what's going on in St. Louis?
07:10Home and down by three.
07:11It's three consecutive losses,
07:13if that stands as well.
07:14Goodman across.
07:15Lewandowski up for it.
07:17Comes to Bonoso instead.
07:19Leo Bonoso plays it across
07:21at the four post and it's in!
07:25There is life for the Chicago Fire!
07:28Superson Jonathan Bamba
07:29to slice the lead in half!
07:33Ties starting to turn.
07:35Can Chicago feel it?
07:36Can they believe that they can not only get a draw,
07:39but maybe the three-point?
07:40But it's a great ball from Bonoso.
07:43It's just too high for Lewandowski,
07:45but then Bamba the substitute,
07:46right place, right time.
07:48Makes it 2-1.
07:50Now, will the nerves start to set in
07:52with this Orlando team?
07:53Will the confidence start to fly for Chicago?
07:55They will have the belief that they can
07:58get the equalizer.
07:59They can potentially win the game.
08:02And then Bamba, they've got a player.
08:05Fire knocking on the door,
08:07looking for a second to get the game leveled.
08:10Signal by Philip Zinkernagel.
08:13Once again,
08:15not beating that first man.
08:17That's absolutely vital.
08:19Zinkernagel again from Saletros.
08:21Plays this across.
08:49Zinkernagel got a hit to it.
08:51It seems to be better.
08:52Well, this is excellent.
08:54It's inadvertently headed by Iago
08:55to the far post.
08:57And then give great credit to Bamba.
08:59Because so many players
08:59who don't look to go for goal themselves,
09:01he doesn't.
09:02He sees a teammate in Haile Selassie
09:04in a better position.
09:05And he finds the top corner.
09:07And once again,
09:09Orlando.
09:10And also puts the brakes on.
09:12And he's in.
09:15And he's in.
09:18And he's in.
09:19And he's in.
09:21And he's in.
09:22And he's in.
09:22Haile Selassie.
09:23Into the box.
09:24Zinkernagel's shot goes wide.
09:26Didn't miss by much.
09:28Senkrepo diving to his right.
09:34Leans to the corner.
09:36Antoine Griezmann plays this in. Strongly headed and gathered here.
09:41Brady with the stop on Bruckalo.
09:46His distribution to the far side.
09:50Let the flyer get on the loose ball. Here comes to Tejan.
09:54Into the box. Plays this across! Staying made!
09:56Red bow! So close to winning it!
10:00And when you see it goes into Babri, goes into him really quick.
10:03Lewandowski, he's begging for it to be laid off to him.
10:06He wants it laid off. Obama goes for it himself.
10:09Goes harmlessly into Preypo's hands.
10:14Dike has knocked down. The booze rained down on Daryl Dike.
10:19Slowly back to his feet. We've exceeded the three minutes.
10:22How much more? And the answer to that? No more.
10:26This match is over. A 2-2 draw at Soldier Field.
