00:05When I found out they wanted me to sing Hallelujah in the movie, I was, I think I was just
00:11pleasantly
00:12surprised because I really had no idea what sort of route they were going to take musically,
00:16so when that was the song, I was like, oh wow, and it's such an awesome moment in the
00:21movie as well, when everything's just sort of at a low and Mina's able to sing this
00:29beautiful song, Hallelujah, so that was an honor to be able to sing that.
00:36The reason why I connect to Mina so much is I saw myself in her and how she tries to
00:40sort
00:41of figure out what that fear is, why am I so afraid of being on stage, and once she is
00:48on stage and finally just lets herself go, she's able to realize that the music is a lot
00:52bigger than her fear, so I think that's why I was able to connect with her so much, because
00:58I still feel that all the time.
01:04It's so important, I think, for people to know that you can do what you love to do and be
01:09happy in it, and whatever your passion is, you know, that's something you should
01:14definitely go after, and I think what's interesting too about the film is how she, Mina, gives that
01:23advice right back to Mr. Moon, and he, it's almost like he has to be reminded, I think
01:29we all have to be reminded of that, just make sure what you're doing, you just, you really
01:32love it and you can find joy in it.
01:38I want to say it was when Mr. Moon heard her sing Hallelujah, and I think that was the first
01:47time that she felt like, oh, I can, I can do this, then if, if someone, you know, sometimes
01:53all it takes is that one person really to, to believe in you too, and that kind of gave
01:57her, I think, that extra push, because also it was in, it was a sort of moment where there
02:03wasn't a big audience, there wasn't, you know, all these people and all this pressure, it was just
02:06her in this really pure moment when everything had literally fallen apart, and, and I think that was,
02:13that's one of my favorite parts of the films, it, it's so touching and so moving, and I think she's
02:18able to finally connect, like, okay, I can, I can get out there and do this now.
02:25I'm so excited, I, I kind of want to sneak into, like, every theater and just watch people watch the
02:33movie, because, um, yeah, people just get so happy, it's like you, you're rooting for these,
02:40these characters, and, um, you know, you're singing along, and you're clapping along, and,
02:45um, yeah, I just, from what I've noticed, people just can't help it, they can't help but just smile,
02:51and, um, definitely makes you walk out of the room just feeling really happy.
03:00One of the cool parts of the movie that stuck out to me was the fact that there, there is
03:05a lot of
03:06failure in the movie. I think you see, um, you know, you see people hit a low, you see,
03:13Mr. Moon, his whole thing just kind of collapses everything he's worked for,
03:18and I think it's, it's so beautiful to see, um, not only the fact that he gets up and, and
03:24tries
03:25again, and all these characters, you know, they're, it's like, okay, let's try again, but it's,
03:28they're not alone in it. It's like they have each other, and they have, um, this support group sort
03:34of thing to kind of, uh, encourage and, and lift up, and I think that in itself is such a
03:40great message
03:41as well for people to know, um, that you don't have to do that alone, you know, when you do
03:46hit a rock
03:46bottom, and, um, you know, just to have people around you, your family, people that love you, um,
03:53um, is really, a really beautiful thing and a really powerful thing.
