Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has issued a call for the Chalo Dilli protest march scheduled for 1st November at Ramlila Maidan. Describing it as a march for the soul of the country and a Save Democracy initiative, he urged citizens, opposition workers, and student groups across political lines to participate. Addressing the public, he asserted that people should not worry about police lathis and stated that the march aims to protect the Constitution and protest against alleged vote theft. India Today correspondent Moushumi Singh reported that the rally represents an attempt by the India Bloc to build momentum and mobilise public support ahead of a public impeachment planned at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's residence. The demonstration is expected to see participation from civil society and opposition party workers arriving from neighbouring states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Haryana.

00:06He says that join us if you feel India is under attack. This is march for the soul of India.
00:12It's a unified protest for the entire nation. He says you need not worry about the police lattes.
00:18In fact, Rahul Gandhi has also said that BJP does not have the guts to try these antics.
00:23So he has urged people to join the Chalo Dilli march. It's a march to the Ramreela Maidan on 1st
00:31of November where a mega opposition rally will be held against Votchori.
00:36It's a safe democracy march for which Rahul Gandhi is urging people to join them and he's calling it a
00:42Desh ka protest.
00:43He's saying that if you feel that India is under attack, then you must join this protest. Let's listen in.
00:52Namaskar
00:53Chalo Dilli Ramlila March
01:21Don't worry about the police. Don't worry about lathees. The BJP will not have the guts to try any of
01:30their antics.
01:32Come march with us. We'll walk together to protect the constitution, to protect the Indian nation.
01:39So don't worry about it.
01:41The country is a march. You are a march.
01:44You all have to meet with us.
01:46We'll help the people of Samvidhan.
01:49I urge all student groups, regardless of your political affiliation,
01:55if you feel that India is under attack,
01:58if you feel you're under attack,
02:01your expression, your ideas, your way of thinking is under attack,
02:04come and join us.
02:06It'll be a fantastic march.
02:08And it's a march for the soul of this country.
02:11Looking forward to seeing all of you there.
02:16And my colleague Moshmi Singh is now joining us with more details on this story.
02:20Moshmi, after the Congress High Command asked its state leaders
02:23to bring more and more people to Delhi for the march on November 1st.
02:27Now Rahul Gandhi himself has urged the normal public,
02:30the people also to join this march, which he calls is Desh ka protest.
02:41So clearly, you know, the momentum, there's an attempt to build momentum as far as, you know,
02:48the 1st November rally is concerned.
02:50And on 30th November, there's going to be a public impeachment that's going to be held at Kharge's residence.
02:57With Rahul Gandhi issuing out this video clip, clearly he's reaching out not only to party workers,
03:04to party workers of the India bloc, but also calling out the younger generation, the youth, in fact,
03:12of various political outfits to join the bandwagon.
03:15And this comes close on the heels of Abhijit Deepke, you know, extending his support to the India bloc rally,
03:22which is very interesting.
03:23So one will have to wait and see whether this test of strength
03:27and perhaps the mounting of pressure works well for the India bloc.
03:32But clearly, this is an attempt for a massive mobilization on the CEC issue.
03:41Right, Moshmi, two things. How many people are expected to attend this march,
03:45to attend this rally at Ramlila Maidan? And you talked about CJP extending its support.
03:49So can we see Abhijit Deepke and also the top leaders of the CJP also taking part in this protest
03:55on November 1st?
04:01I'm sorry, there was a bit of noise and I missed your question. Could you go again, please?
04:06No problem. Moshmi, I was asking how many people are expected to attend this mega rally and mega protest on
04:13November 1st?
04:14And you talked about CJP extending its support to this safe democracy protest.
04:21So will the top leaders of the CJP, including Abhijit Deepke,
04:25can they also be seen at the Ramlila Maidan on 1st of November?
04:33See, clearly we had anticipated this outreach by both sides earlier
04:39when Rahul Gandhi had said that all protests are one.
04:43And, you know, there are two things.
04:46As far as the regime change issue is concerned, Mr. Deepke has, you know,
04:52clearly stepped aside from that remark that was made by Neha Bora and other leaders,
04:59civil society members at the Press Club of India Presser.
05:03But this time round, I think that there are going to be thousands of people from various political parties,
05:12from neighbouring states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana.
05:18We have seen that earlier as well.
05:20So, one will have to wait and see how that really works out in terms of numbers.
05:25But it is more of a psychological battle of perception that Rahul Gandhi is actually trying to wait,
05:34to, in fact, cut across from a political issue.
05:37If you have normal, ordinary citizens without any political backing coming there,
05:44that will be a huge shot in the arm for the opposition,
05:48as far as, you know, telling the Modi government that time is up for Gyanesh Kumar.
05:54Bye!
