00:00Imagine a world where Alan Wake was a side-scrolling detective game.
00:03Welcome to Indecisive, where we take a look at upcoming indie games and let you know why you should too.
00:08This time, we're taking a look at Silver Pines, an upcoming single-player story game that is heaped in noir
00:13vibes,
00:14horrific creatures, and just enough intrigue to get Mulder and Scully invested.
00:18In it, you play a private investigator on the hunt for a runaway rock star
00:21who has holed himself up in a mysterious lakeside town where everything is not as it seems.
00:26Silver Pines will have you searching for various clues to lead you to your target,
00:30whether that be finding missing fuses, heathalocked rooms, or even new weapons with which to defend yourself.
00:35There is a ton of investigation to sink your teeth into, and just enough weirdness to keep you invested.
00:41It truly does feel like something Remedy would conjure up if someone asked them to make a Metroidvania.
00:45The biggest standout, however, is the art style.
00:48This other earthly noir tale looks like it's been ripped right out the pages of a comic book,
00:51with bold character art and stylized backdrops throughout, adding to the gritty source matter.
00:56You can check out the demo for Silver Pines now on Steam,
00:59ahead of the game's launch on PC and all consoles October 8th.
