00:02Leeds United supporters are divided over the club's handling of Lucas Nemecha's contract
00:08situation, with the striker's future at Ellen Road increasingly uncertain as his current
00:15deal approaches its final months.
00:21Nemecha joined Leeds on a free transfer in 2025 and has contributed seven goals and three
00:28assists in 37 appearances during the last campaign.
00:33However, his opportunities have been limited this season, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin establishing
00:38himself as Daniel Farker's first-choice striker.
00:42Reports suggest negotiations over an extension have stalled, with regular playing time a key
00:48factor in whether Nemecha commits his future to the club.
00:52Leeds United would prefer to retain the player, but may struggle to offer the guarantees
00:57he wants, while Calvert-Lewin remains ahead of him in the pecking order.
01:05The situation has prompted debate among supporters, with some believing Leeds should secure an extension
01:11to protect their attacking options, while others question whether Leeds keeping a player with
01:17limited minutes is the right decision.
01:19It remains to be seen whether or not Leeds United will look to recruit in the upcoming
01:24January transfer window.
01:25The situation the time has passed away.
