00:00Hello students! So what we're going to do today is I'm going to show you how to use
00:03this calculator on your phone. So to get started you want to hit your calculator
00:07app however you get to it. Sorry I got to clear that. And then you also want to
00:11make sure that your rotation is not locked. We want to be able to turn our
00:15phone. So when you turn it on the side you get all these really cool tools over
00:19here and I'm going to show you which one's the square root button. So we know
00:24144 is a perfect square and now the square root button can be found right
00:28underneath x squared. So when I press and hold it kind of lights up so it's this
00:32button right here. So it looks like a check mark with a little x or sorry with
00:36a little 2 and an x. So that's your square root. When I hit that you can see that my
00:40answer is 12 which we knew to be true. So you want to make sure that you're typing
00:46your number first. So I'm going to do 145 which is not perfect and I'm going to do
00:50it again. So hit my x square root button and then it gives me my decimal
00:55approximate. So then that will help you with this IXL today. But remember you only
01:00have to go to the hundredths place which is two decimal places. So this would be
01:0512.04 and that would be your answer.
